National Gallery – Room 29

Room 29 was created in 1929 and features a barrel vaulted central section ceiling flanked by 6 bays. The ceiling needed a lot of prep due to he degradation of the substrate. It was largely recreating the existing decorative scheme but also incorporated new gilded elements to the lower cornice which H&H worked with the architects to achieve. The first phase of the decoration is complete and the finishing touches will be applied following the installation of the wall fabric and the new laylights. H&H is also please to worked alongside EDM and Weldon.
