The restoration of furniture is a significant adjunct to our architectural work. We are frequently commissioned to clean and revive hand painted pieces. Much water gilding is also carried out, this can be burnished, or distressed, to render an antiquated appearance to the surface.

French Polishing is a term which applies both to a specific high quality finish for joinery and furniture, and also to a number of related treatments to wood. These include-floor finishing, liming, fuming, pickling, sprayed lacquers, staining and waxing. All are carried out by our craftsmen on site and in our workshops.
