Lectures & CPD

Hare & Humphreys directors occasionally give lectures and seminars about our work and the techniques we use. These can be arranged in conjunction with further and higher education establishments, architects offices, industry conferences, specialist courses or historic organisations.

Our involvement in this activity is borne from our conviction that, as major providers into the historic building conservation and decoration sector, we have a professional responsibility to share our knowledge and experiences within the industry. By doing so we believe we can contribute positively towards the continuing professional development of people operating at all levels within our industry.

Peter Hare has been training our own decorating apprentices, as well as working with colleges providing craftsmen for many years. Similarly Paul Humphreys has been actively involved with SPAB (Society for the Protection of Historic Buildings) and the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum where he periodically is involved with practical courses and study days. .
